IN VITRO SEROLOGICAL METHOD OF DIAGNOSING INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS

The invention relates to an in vitro serological method of diagnosing infective endocarditis with negative hemoculture caused by Coxellia burnetii and Bartonella sp bacteria in a patient with a cardiac valve disorder. The inventive method is characterised in that it consists in: dosing IgG-type antibodies of the phase I Coxellia burnetii bacterium and IgG-type antibodies of a Bartonella sp bacterium onto one same serum of a patient, and determining if the titre of said IgG antibodies is greater than or equal to 1/800th.
