The invention relates to, inter alia, a dual clutch gearbox for a motor vehicle, comprising a first gearbox input shaft (20) with which at least one first gear is associated, and a second gearbox input shaft (22) with which at least one second gear is associated. An outer gearbox input shaft (22) embodied as a hollow shaft surrounds an inner gearbox input shaft (20), and a synchronisation device is provided inside the gearbox. According to the invention, the synchronisation device comprises at least one planetary gear set (30, 40) and an associated braking device (50), said planetary gear set being arranged, with its sun gear, planet carrier and internal ring gear, essentially coaxially in relation to the gearbox input shafts (20, 22), and a first component (34; 42) selected from the sun gear, the planet carrier and the internal ring gear is coupled, or can be coupled, to the first gearbox input shaft (20) for the purpose of rotational engagement, a second component (32; 44) is coupled, or can be coupled, to the second gearbox input shaft (22) for the purpose of rotational engagement, and a third component (36; 46) can be braked by means of the brake device (50) of the synchronisation device, which is supported, or can be supported, directly or indirectly, on a gearbox housing.
