The composition is prepared by using following weight proportion of raw material drugs including 5-60 parts of Monascus purpureus Went, 0.3-50 parts of soy isoflavone, 10-75 parts of rhizoma of Alisma plantago-aquatica L. var. Orientale Samuels, as well as optional one of Fructus of Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. var. Major N. E. Br., Crataegus cuneata Sieb. Et Zucc., Crataegus pinnatifida, Crataegus hupensis Sarg., Crataegus Pall., Crataegus scabrifolia (Franch.) Rehd. or Semen of Cassia tora L. or both. The composition according to the present invention have no toxic side effect, and have good effects on regulating fat, can significantly reduce cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein in the blood, have apparent effects on treating and preventing hypertension, hepatic adipose infiltration, and can be used in preparing drugs or health foods for treating and preventing hyperlipemia, hypertension and hepatic adipose infiltration.
