An information classifying device calculates the center of gravity of each population to which sample information is attributed and the evaluation distance to classification object sample information (object sample) (S11, S12), calculates statistic information including the mean, variance, standard deviation of each population concerning the evaluation distance (S13), evaluates the evaluation distance of the sample information on the population according to the evaluation distance and the statistic information and the degree of attribution of the object sample to the population (S21, S25), determines which population the object sample is made to be attributed according to the degree of attribution, attributes the object sample to the population (S22, S23, S26, S27), calculates the evaluation distance between the center of gravity of each updated population and the object sample attributed to the updated population (S33), creates a new population if the degree of attribution to any one of the populations is out of a predetermined degree range, and attributes the object sample to the new population (S26, S27). With this, sample information can be autonomously and stably classified to a population.
