The invention relates to a method for the transmission of data by radio. According to said method, an OFDM modulation of the signal to be transmitted is first carried out. Before the actual transmission, however, a cyclic shift δn(t) of the components of the OFDM symbols to be transmitted is carried out. The cyclic shift δn(t) of the partial signal to be transmitted by the antenna Tx1 is equal to 0, while the partial signals to be transmitted by the other antennae Tx2,..,n are subjected to a cyclic shift δn(t), n = 2,..., N. The cyclic shift δn(t) of the partial signals transmitted by the second and every other antenna Tx2,..,n varies in time and is described by a function of the time or number t of the transmitted OFDM symbols. For each antenna Tx2,..,n, identical components of the information sequences to be transmitted are subjected to a different cyclic shift δn(t). The invention also relates to an emitter for carrying out said method.
