A method for locating communication resources for multi-participant service comprises: the requestor embeds the resource location requirement in the communication resource reservation request and transmits it to the resource location controlling function of the current multi-participant communication service; the resource location controlling function locates the resource for the user according to the resource location requirement after receiving the communication resource reservation request. There are also a system thereof, and the communication resource can be located flexibly to fulfill the need of the user according to the method and system of present invention.
