SIGNAL EVALUATION METHOD FOR USE IN A SAR/MTI PULSE RADAR SYSTEM

The invention relates to a method for evaluating a receiving signal of a SAR/MTI pulse radar system that emits SAR and MTI transmitter pulses at a given pulse repetition rate (PRF_SAR, PRF_MTI), wherein the receiving signal is a superposition of echo pulse sequences of SAR echo pulse signals and MTI echo pulse signals. The invention is characterized in that every pulse in the received echo pulse sequence of the receiving signal that corresponds to an integer multiple of an integer ratio of the pulse repetition rate PRF_MTI of the MTI transmitter signal to the pulse repetition rate PRF_SAR of the SAR transmitter signal and that is received after an SAR transmitter pulse is evaluated in an SAR method and the remaining pulses of the received echo pulse sequence of the receiving signal are evaluated in an MTI method, whereby the pulse missing due to the SAR signal processing is reproduce for the MTI signal processing by means of interpolation.
