Method for optimizing traffic distribution in a communication network with multipath routing

The method involves subdividing the data traffic of the whole network expected according to the router calculations into components. In a first, initial distribution step, a component of the traffic is allocated to the links associated with each node. In a further step, a new distribution is carried out taking into account the results of the first step, and a further component is allocated to the respective links. In a next step, a further disrtibution is made, taking into account the results of the previous step. This step is repeated until all components of the whole data traffic have been distributed on the network.
