The wing has a wing lower cover (202), wing upper cover (201) and wing spar (203). An end section of the wing spar is welded with the wing lower cover. Another end section of the wing spar is welded with the wing upper cover. The wing spar has a dual T- shaped cross section or essentially C-shaped cross section. The former welded section forms a part of the lower cover, and the welded latter section forms a part of the upper cover. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of manufacturing an aircraft wing (2) use of a welding method for welding a wing spar.
