Described herein are a method and a system (2) for monitoring exposure of the occupant of a vehicle (1) to vibrations, in which the level of exposure of the occupant to vibrations is calculated, and there is then signalled to the operator the residual exposure time (Tri) to vibrations before levels of limit of exposure set by law are reached.
