A second chamber (6) has a first passage through which a high-pressure fuel line and a high-pressure fuel reservoir (7) communicate with one another, and a second passage through which fuel injection lines and fuel connections of a cylinder head (3) communicate. A lid (12) encloses the high-pressure fuel reservoir, fuel injection lines and fuel connections such that when leakage occurs, lid allows leaking fuel to flow into the second chamber. At least one charged air conduit (4) for distributing charged air includes a first chamber (5) for conveying charged air, and second chamber with a removable lid. Air inlet openings of at least one cylinder head are connected to the first chamber in a gastight manner. A high-pressure fuel reservoir is secured in the second chamber via mounting straps.
