PURPOSE: A GPS receiver having a controllable local oscillator, a GPS clock device, and a dual GPS clock device are provided to control directly a local oscillator of a GPS receiver by using an additional circuit and an additional algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A down-converter(111) is used for converting a GPS signal of a GPS receiving antenna(110) to an intermediate frequency band signal. A local oscillator(112) is controlled by a signal processing unit. A correlation system(113) extracts a PRN code by removing a carrier from the intermediate frequency band signal and transfers integral data to the signal processing unit. A 1PPS(Pulse Per Second) generator(114) is used for an internal 1PPS signal by using data of the correlation system. A phase detection system(115) senses a phase difference between the output 1PPS signal of the local oscillator and the internal 1PPS signal of the 1PPS generator. An antenna check circuit(117) is used for checking a connecting state of the GPS receiving antenna. The signal processing unit(118) receives data from the phase detection system, a temperature sensor(116), and the antenna check circuit and outputs a control value of the local oscillator. A storage unit(119) stores the control algorithm information of the local oscillator.
