The invention concerns a method for visualizing entries (102) of a database (101) for browsing, comprising the steps of: providing meta data types (107, 108, 109) and associating meta data (104) of each type with each database entry (102), the meta data types (107, 108, 109) describing different properties of the respective database entries (102); selecting (202) three meta data types (107, 108, 109) and mapping each of the selected meta data types (107, 108, 109) onto a different one of three axes (301, 302, 303) spanning a three dimensional space (304); and displaying (204) database entries (102) in the three dimensional space (304) at coordinates given by the respective meta data (104) of the three selected meta data types (107, 108, 109), thereby grouping related database entries (102) generally in proximity to each other and unrelated database entries (102) generally spaced apart. The invention further concerns a method for intuitively searching a database, a corresponding computer system and a computer program product.
