The system has a mechanical linkage driving an inertial mass (5) in rotation around a symmetrical axis by the rotation of a gear shifting lever (1), where the system and the inertial mass are disposed inside a gear box case. A ratio between centering distance of axes of the lever and a driving rod (15) and centering distance of axes of the driving rod and a pivot (16) defines a primary gear reduction. A center distance of the axes of the lever and driving rod is variable between two end positions imposed by a displacement of the lever defining a secondary gear reduction.
