The component has a lining (7) arranged on a hot side that is facing a superheated steam chamber (1) and comprising a contour (5). The lining (7) has molded parts (27) adapted to the contour, where each part has a metallic and ceramic composite layer with a metallic layer and a ceramic layer on the hot side. The ceramic layer is used as an insulating layer, and the metallic layer is used as a support. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component of a steam turbine plant.
