摘要

The present invention relates to a back-off method and apparatus in a media access control device that is based on the competition from a single shared medium. The medium access control method to the competition is the default when a collision occurs because of a race to enter the back-off procedure. In the present invention proposes a method in which medium access control efficiently by using the two parameters are calculated in real time during the course of an adaptive back-off procedure to be performed. The basic idea is to measure the state of the media in the short-term and long-utilizing it in the back-off procedure.
