Provided is a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell, which prevents reverse diffusion of moisture and reduces electric resistance of a membrane, and imparts high quality to a fuel cell under various temperature ranges under non-humidified conditions. The polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell comprises a Nafion cast membrane having a thickness limited in a range of 15 to 30 micrometers. The Nafion cast membrane preferably has a thickness of 25 micrometers and further includes a gas diffusion layer having an average pore size of 1-2 micrometers. The polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell is operated in the presence of hydrogen and oxygen as reactive gases.
