A method and an apparatus for providing a user-adapted service environment are provided to configure the user-adapted service environment by using an user's profile by a control device when receiving the user's profile from a controlled device. A method for providing a user-adapted service environment includes the steps of: authenticating an user; transmitting first user authenticating information recognizing the authenticated user to a controlled device; receiving an user profile corresponding to the first user authenticating information from a controlled device; and configuring a service environment by using the received user profile.
