The present invention is concerned with the extract of the fruit of Schisandra chinensis. It is furthermore concerned with the use of this extract for the manufacture of a medicament and with the use of this extract for the production of a cosmetic preparation and with the use of this extract for the cosmetic treatment of the human body.
