An equipment and a method for heat treatment of heads of processed asymmetrical rail and forged rail are provided to easily control an equipment shaft and easily coping with a slope between modules by using an universal joint, improve heat treatment quality of rails through free control of a heat treatment module, perform slag quenching using compressed air and control cooling capability through a flow control valve and a control part. An equipment(H) for heat treatment of heads of processed asymmetrical rail and forged rail comprises: a preheating part(100) for uniformly heating rails transferred through a transfer car(110) by medium frequency induction heating; a main heating part(200) comprising a coil for reheating heads of the rails preheated in the preheating part to a predetermined temperature range of a stabilized Ac3 transformation temperature or more and heating two front faces of the rails and side faces of the heads; a rail slag quenching part for cooling the heads of the rails so that the heads of the rails are transformed into a fine pearlite structure after transferring the rails into the atmosphere for a predetermined time so that the heads of the heated rails are conducted to a certain temperature; and an air mist cooling part(400) comprising spray nozzles for spraying high pressure air mist onto the heads of the rails in multiple steps, and a control part for controlling a module according to volume variation of the heads of the rails.
