A method for monitoring power of a WDL(Wireless Data Logger) terminal and the WDL terminal having a power monitoring function are provided to assure a minimum function, which is a data collection/storage function, by continuously collecting and storing the measurement data received from a measurement equipment even in case that an abnormal state of power occurs. A method for monitoring power of a WDL(Wireless Data Logger) terminal comprises the following several steps. A power unit transmits a normal state signal to a controller wherein the normal state signal means that an external power is supplied for the WDL terminal in case that power outputted from the power unit is supplied by the external power which conforms to a certain level(S200). Then, the controller sets the WDL terminal in a data storage and wireless internet communication mode, and cyclically checks whether an abnormal power state signal is received from the power unit(S202). In case that the abnormal power state signal is received, the power unit transmits the abnormal power state signal to the controller(S204). In case that the abnormal power state signal is received from the power unit, the controller converts the data storage and wireless internet communication mode into a data storage mode(S206).
