An energy conversion medium for converting energy of a blue visible ray region having high electron volt into heat energy of an infrared ray region having low electron volt is comprised of at least one energy conversion medium directly heated by a flame and a plurality of energy conversion media piled up on the energy conversion media and is formed of a ceramic material that is not oxidized although it is heated to a high temperature, and is formed in a spherical, polyhedral, circular cylindrical or cylindrical shape. An energy conversion device(50) for converting energy of a blue visible ray region having high electron volt into heat energy of an infrared ray region having low electron volt comprises: the energy conversion medium; a housing(51) having a flame introduction port(53) formed on a lower portion(52) thereof such that one of the energy conversion media is put on the flame introduction port in a non-sealed manner, and a combustion residue discharge port formed on an upper portion thereof; and a Brown gas combustion burner installed at a location at which an approximately middle point of a combustion flame contacts with a lower portion of the energy conversion medium put on the flame introduction port in a non-sealed manner, or an end point of the combustion flame is spaced from the energy conversion medium put on the flame introduction port in a non-sealed manner in a distance corresponding to approximate half of length of the combustion flame.
