APPARATUS FOR MEASURING OF FLOW IMAGE AND VELOCITY FIELD USING FOR X-RAY BEAM

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to quantitatively measure the fluid flow and obtain flow information in an invisible area of an object. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an accelerator(1) for radiating X-ray beams; a mechanical shutter(2) mounted on the beam axis in such a manner that only the necessary X-ray beam from among the X-ray beams radiated from the accelerator penetrates through a specimen; a micro-traverse mounted on the beam axis in such a manner that the specimen is disposed on the micro traverse; a scintillator(3) mounted on the beam axis in such a manner that the scintillator converts images of X-ray beam which becomes visible while penetrating through the specimen into images of visible ray band; a CCD camera(4) arranged in vertical with the beam axis in such a manner that the CCD camera detects particle images formed at the scintillator; a computer for displaying images of the CCD camera on a monitor; and a PIV/PTV velocity field measuring unit for extracting quantitative information from the detected two sheets of X-ray flow images.
