PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent composition containing silica is provided, which improves electrooptical property. A liquid crystal alignment film using the liquid crystal alignment agent composition, a preparation method thereof, and a liquid crystal element containing the liquid crystal alignment film, are also provided. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal alignment agent composition contains 0.001-5wt%(based on the liquid crystal alignment agent composition) of the silica having a diameter of less than 500nm. The liquid crystal alignment film is produced by a process containing the steps of: dissolving the liquid crystal alignment agent composition in an organic solvent; mixing the silica with the solution; spreading the solution on a substrate(20) by a spin-coating or a printing method to form the alignment film(10); and aligning liquid crystals by horizontally or vertically irradiating a linearly polarized UV or an unpolarized UV on the alignment film(10). And the liquid crystal element contains the liquid crystal alignment film(10).
