PURPOSE: An originating call service method in a public and private common mobile communication system is provided to discriminate whether a call is originated from a certain network between a public mobile communication network and a private mobile communication network when an MS(Mobile Station) of a system capable of public and private mobile communication services originates the call. CONSTITUTION: If an originating call with a packet message type is received from a private BTS(Base Transceiver Subsystem), a private CIN(Communication Interconnection Network) of a private BSC(Base Station Controller) transmits the received originating call to a CM(Call Manager)(202). A private BTMR(BTS Message Router) checks an SIG(Signal) ID field of a received message. If the received message is signal information about the originating call, the private BTMR inquires a private VLR(Visitor Location Register) whether an originating MS is registered in a private mobile communication service(204). If the private VLR notifies the result, the private BTMR judges whether the originating MS is registered in the private mobile communication service(206). If the originating MS is registered in the private mobile communication service, the private BTMR checks an originating number of an MSG(Message) field in the message and judges whether the originating number is a private mobile communication network number(208). If the originating number is the private mobile communication network number, the pBTMR transmits the originating call message to the private BSC of the CM(210). The private BSC assigns a vocoder resource of a TSB(Transcoder and Selector Bank) and transmits the originating call message to a private MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(212). If the originating call message is received, the private MSC records the paging of the private mobile communication network from the originating MS in the private VLR, controls a switch of a PBX(Private Branch eXchange), and transmits a terminating ring message to a terminating MS corresponding to the originating number(214). If the terminating MS responds to the terminating ring message, the private MSC forms the call(216).
