摘要
A liquid crystal display is improved by reducing the number of sub-pixels in the image having a viewing angle property in the middle luminance value of the tone (LCD) (112). In a preferred embodiment, at least one of provided with a first table entry of coupling the sub-pixel intensity values and the sub-pixel luminance value for the LCD from the viewing angle direction. There is the target intensity values are determined from the first table, the target intensity value corresponds to the average sub-pixel luminance values for sub-pixels adjacent to a small number. The second table entry for coupling the target intensity values and intensity values that exist in the above and below the target intensity values are provided. The adjacent sub-pixel intensity value that can reduce the number of sub-pixels having a luminance value, whereby the midtone is modified in accordance with said second table. The sub-pixel data is preferably processed in part within the application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) (303) contained within the display module 112-2.
