The present invention relates to a method for preparing a silica gel / nanocarbon composite adsorbent for an adsorption cooling system. The thermal conductivity of the silica gel adsorbent generally used in an adsorption cooling system driven by low temperature waste heat is very low. By developing silica gel / nanocarbon composite adsorbents using nanocarbon particles such as carbon nanotubes or carbon nanofibers, which are excellent materials, the thermal conductivity is more than 38% larger than that of silica gel, which is a conventional adsorbent.
