PURPOSE: A digital camera capable of adjusting white balance in accordance with a variation of a light source is provided to perform a color reproduction and a color conservation naturally and automatically by detecting light sources different thereto in various photographing conditions and performing a gamma correction and a color variation based on different reference values in accordance with the result. CONSTITUTION: A photographing unit(100) converts an image of an object into an electronic signal, and comprises a color filter for color-filtering a light of an object inputted through a photographing lens and an image sensor for photographing the color-filter light and outputting a corresponding electronic signal. Each pixel of the photographing unit(100) has one color component out of R,G,B. A color interpolation circuit(130) is amplified through an amplifier(10) and performs an interpolation with respect to an electronic color signal of each pixel converted as a digital signal through the first signal converter(120). A color temperature sensor(140) measures a color temperature using a color of the object and converts the measured temperature into an electric signal. The color of the object is different in accordance with a light source, and the color temperature is changed in accordance with a light source. The second signal converting unit(150) amplifies an electric signal corresponding to a color temperature. A main control unit(160) receives a color temperature detected by the color temperature sensor(140) and classifies the color temperature into four kinds(D65,D50,F2,A), and calculates a gamma LUT address, and outputs the gamma LUT address to a gamma correcting circuit(180). The main control unit(160) receives the color temperature and the color signal and extracts a coefficient needed to a brightness calculation and outputs to a color converting circuit(200).
