PURPOSE: To provide a powerless natural circulation type sewage treatment apparatus that easily treats nitrogen, phosphorous and carbohydrates contained in sewage and wastewater by contacting contaminants with microorganisms and powerlessly supplying air to the sewage and wastewater. CONSTITUTION: When wastewater is flown in through an inlet (12) of a natural circulation tank having a plurality of lattice shapes, the flown in wastewater circulates the lattice-shaped natural circulation tank step by step by passing through a wastewater entrance (16) having a zig-zag shape. Contaminants in the wastewater having a high specific gravity are gradually decomposed by microorganisms of contact media (30) that is packed with a lower part of the natural circulation tank. Suspended materials in the wastewater having a relatively low specific gravity are gradually decomposed by microorganisms in a soil layer (32). A vent pipe (22) of a powerless air supply means (20) that is installed at a natural flow path of the wastewater continuously supplies smooth air flow by a powerless ventilator. Injection holes formed on the vent pipe speed up the speed of a current of the wastewater and help the wastewater to be decomposed. Treated water purified by circulating the natural circulation tank is discharged through an outlet.
