The present invention relates to a nonlinear optical organic pigment material containing an aromatic ring structure as a conjugate bridge, in particular a bulky substituent having a conjugated bridge linked to an aromatic ring by an ether bond or a silyl bond. It relates to a nonlinear optical organic dye material.;Since the nonlinear optical pigment material according to the present invention has a phenylene or thiophene structure as a conjugated structure, not only has a high thermal stability but also a bulky alkyl group or a phenyl group is substituted so that the formation of cis isomers is suppressed and thus a high nonlinearity is suppressed. It exhibits optical properties, excellent solubility in solvents and compatibility with polymers, and has a feature that enables effective electric field polling by minimizing molecular association due to intermolecular electrostatic attraction.
