PURPOSE: A leakage prevention apparatus is provided, in which the lower end of the header pipe is sealed by the lower cap and mounting bracket and the inner path of the header pipe is blocked by the lower cap, to thereby prevent leakage of working fluid. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger includes a header pipe(14) having a header(12) and a tank(13) which are brazed to form a working fluid passage and both ends closed; a plurality of tubes(15) fixed into accommodation holes formed at the header of the header pipe; a corrugate fin(16) arranged as being bent in zigzag between tubes so as to extend heat exchange area and improve heat exchange performance; and a baffle(17) disposed within each header pipe so as to allow working fluid to pass through tubes in section unit. A leakage prevention apparatus is characterized in that each header pipe has an upper end sealed by an upper cap and a lower end sealed by a mounting bracket(18) fixed in the passenger compartment, and a lower cap(19) is inserted into the flow channel of each header pipe, wherein the upper cap, mounting bracket and the lower cap are brazed. The header pipe has an insertion hole(20) formed at the side wall of the brazed header and tank so as to allow the lower cap to be fixed into the insertion hole.
