Performance and fault processing method of CMIP based Network element

摘要

PURPOSE: A CMIP-based performance and failure processing method is provided to allow a network operator to easily search information by storing information related to performance and failure data in a file and provide an analysis data on the whole network performance and failure state by transmitting the file to an upper system related to the stored information. CONSTITUTION: A network operator(11) searches a collected performance and failure data. A network factor agent(12) stores a data measured by an ATM exchanger and generates a related event. A network management system(10) includes a CMIP stack(13) for communication with the network factor agent(12). An event processor(14) for processing a reached event extracts and processes only information related to a performance and a failure. A file processor(15) makes a group for the extracted data by events, generates a directory and stores them. If the extracted data is a failure data, it is to be promptly reported to an upper system(20), and when a corresponding data is transmitted to an alarm processor(16), the alarm processor(16) promptly sets up a connection to the upper system(20) for data transmission and transmits the data. If the extracted data is a performance data, a file transmitting unit(17) periodically transmits the performance data to the upper system(20). A performance/failure information searching unit(18) provides searching function of the performance/failure data to the network operator(11).
