PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart routing method based on relative distances between nodes in a communications system, utilizing a shared medium in which all the nodes on a shared medium act as an automatic router, and stable communication can be performed via the other nodes, even between nodes through which direct communication is impossible. PSOLUTION: The communications system utilizing a shared medium is equipped with a first process, in which each node that is dispersed in a plurality of communication regions and intends to communicate, utilizing the shared medium exchanges routing line information packets containing range and destination node IDs with adjacent nodes for each set time for completing a routing line table stored in own node; and a second process in which even after the routing line table of each node has been completed, each node performs broadcasting of the routing line information for each set time and updates the routing line table already completed, based on the routing line information packets received.
