PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for constructing asynchronous transfer mode super-highway information network are provided to support 2 classes in the information super-highway network. CONSTITUTION: A resource configuration management device(10) includes a resource configuration manager(11) being in charge of the communication with other devices through CORBA interface and a resource configuration management internal unit(12) for maintaining the network data resource and its state. A connection management device(20) includes a connection manager(21) for communicating with other devices through CORBA interface and maintaining the data required for routing, and an internal connection- management unit(22) for performing the actual function. An interrupt management device(30) includes an interrupt manager(31) for communicating with other devices through CORBA interface and recording various kinds of events occurring in the network, and the internal interrupt-management unit(32) for performing the relevant functions. A performance management device(40) includes a performance manager(41) for communicating with other devices through CORBA interface and collecting various kinds of performance data, and an inter performance management unit(42) for performing the relevant functions.
