The present invention provides a yoke assembly and a voice coil motor assembly including the same of the CSS hard disk drive having a top and bottom-up latch magnet. The yoke assembly includes a voice coil bias steel attached to the voice coil. The magnetic latch-up is formed by a force acting on the voice coil bias steel from the upper and lower latch-up magnet. The present invention can be provided with a contact latch weakening magnetically with the magnetic latch-up. The present invention provides a method of operation of the voice coil motor assembly having at least a magnetic latch-up. Crash stop comprising a magnetic latch-up and a weakened contact latch magnetically according to the invention is combination, requires a significantly small initial release force than a conventional crash stop, it satisfies the rotating impact performance requirements.
