MOBILE TERMINAL WITH MUSIC REPLAY ABILITY AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING EQUALIZER THEREOF

A portable terminal capable of reproducing music files and an equalizer display method thereof are provided to turn the backlight of a keypad on/off according to the volume of the music reproduced in the portable terminal and display equalizer information by using the keypad, thereby enabling users to visually listen to music. A music reproducing unit(11) reproduces music files. A keypad(13) is backlighted in an equalizer mode set by an inputted control signal according to the volume of the music files reproduced by the music reproducing unit. A memory(15) stores the set equalizer mode and the music files. A control unit(10) controls the general operation of an equalizer function using the backlight of the keypad(13) by outputting the control signal.
