AN APPARATUS OF IMPACT ABSORPTION USING CURVED ROAD

A vehicle impact-absorbing device installed to a curve of a road is provided to sufficiently secure driver's safety while minimizing breakage of a vehicle when a vehicle collision accident occurs on the curve, to facilitate construction and installation, and to simply apply the device to the existing road facilities. A vehicle impact-absorbing device installed to a curve of a road comprises a pillar block(10) assembled along the edge of the curve by anchor bolts(17); impact-absorbing members(20); fixing pins(30) fixed to the inside of a square assembly part of the pillar block in a state of enabling the impact-absorbing members to rotate; a rear assembly member(40) mounted and removed to/from the rear of the pillar block; and tension springs(50) whose front ends are fixed to a spring assembly part(25a) of the impact-absorbing member and a spring assembly part of another neighboring impact-absorbing member to give uniform tension force to the impact-absorbing members. The impact-absorbing member comprises an impact-absorbing stand having a hemispheric protrusion formed to the front of a body and an assembly par cut in the longitudinal direction, and a supporting frame. In the supporting frame, the spring assembly part with plural fixing parts(251,252) is formed to one side of a body and an absorbing stand assembly part is formed to the other side of the body. In the absorbing stand assembly part, hemispheric protrusions are oppositely arranged to both sides and a fixing hole into which the fixing pin is fitted is bored in the top center part. The rear assembly member has plural receiving parts(42) and plural vent holes formed between the receiving parts to enable the tension springs to pass through the vent holes. Plural fixing and fitting parts(44,45) are arranged to one-sides of the outermost receiving parts to fix one-ends of the tension springs. Fixing parts(46) with plural fastening holes are arranged to both front ends of a body of the rear assembly member and the rear of one side of the impact-absorbing member is received in the receiving part by a fixing unit(47) fastened to the fastening hole.
