Preparation of polyalkoxyamines by the reaction of a monoalkoxyamine with a polyunsaturated compound in the presence of a solvent at 0-90[deg]C, followed by evaporation of the solvent. Preparation of polyalkoxyamines by the reaction, under nitrogen, of a monoalkoxyamine of formula (I) with a polyunsaturated compound Z-[CH=CH 2] n(II), optionally in the presence of a solvent such as ethanol, an aromatic chlorinated compound, ether or an aprotic polar compound and at 0-90[deg]C: [Image] R 11-3C alkyl; R 2H, 1 - 8C alkyl, phenyl, or an alkali metal Li, Na or K, or NH 4+, NBu 4+, or NHBu 3+; Z : aryl group or a radical Z 1-[X-C(O)] n; Z 1poly-functional structure such as a polyol; X : O ,N (attached to a carbyl group or H) or S; n : 2 or more. The molar ratio of (I) to (II) is 1.5 - 1.5n, more preferably n - 1.25n. Optionally, this is followed by evaporation of the solvent:.
