FIELD: medicine, pharmacy.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a combination comprising mirtazapine or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate and hepiron, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate but optionally in combination with one or some pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The combination of amounts of hepiron and mirtazapine provide the more favorable effect of this combination as compared with additional effects of each preparation taken separately. Proposed combination can be used in treatment of depression and associated disorders. Also, the invention represents a new method for treatment of depression and associated disorders.
