FIELD: foundry, namely production of cast iron rolling rolls.;SUBSTANCE: centrifugal casting is realized to chill molds with coating on working surface. Mold is filled with working layer metal modified by ferrosilicon and tellurium at soaking between steps of adding modifying agents. Then soaking is realized for crystallization of working layer after which mold is filled with core metal. Flow rate of modifying agents is determined according to relation QTe = 1.68 (Kg -1 )+ (2.087 -1.575 δ + 0.746 δ2 - 0.08δ3 ), QTe : QFeSi = 0.0015 - 0.002 where Q Te , Q FeSi -flow rate of tellurium and ferrosilicon per ton of melt metal; Kg - graphitization coefficient; δ -thickness of heat insulation coating on working surface of chill mold, mm. Time period from carbide stabilizing modification ill metal casting to mold is in range 2 - 5 min.;EFFECT: improved quality of rolls due to melt metal modification by means of tellurium combined with ferrosilicon, less loss of yield.;1 ex
