METHOD FOR REMOVING COMPLETE PALPEBRAL COLOBOMA

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.;SUBSTANCE: one should apply a fragment of conserved allosclera onto area of palpebral coloboma, a fragment's shape should correspond to that of a coloboma, the edges of alloscleral fragment should be placed in internal layers of palpebral cartilage to fix this fragment to the skin of palpebral costal edge with two interrupted sutures. One should apply guiding sutures onto palpebral skin being above the fragment and parallel to palpebral costal edge. While substituting coloboma above the fragment with own tissues it is necessary to remove corresponding guiding sutures. Moreover, it is necessary to isolate and dissect that part of the fragment being under newly developed tissues. After complete restoration of palpebral tissue one should remove interrupted sutures. The innovation provides adequate anatomical palpebral restoration at keeping its function along with good cosmetic result.;EFFECT: higher efficiency.;2 dwg, 1 ex
