FIELD: engineering of equipment for receipt and detection of impulse radio-signals when signals of interfering reflections and white noise are present, and can be applied in systems for transferring discontinuous information and in radiolocation.;SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, for detection of signal, two-channel detection is used, while in first main detection channel synchronized filtration of signal is used with threshold taking of decision about its presence or absence on basis of selected criterion, and in second additional detection channel time moment τ0 of supporting count is determined with following measurement of noise voltage in it and calculation of its correlation coefficient between supporting and informational counts, on basis of that, when output noise power Pn of synchronized filter and given false alarm probability PF are known, value of decision taking threshold is calculated, which is set in controllable threshold device of additional detection channel, while final decision about presence or absence of signal is taken on basis of partial solutions by main and additional detection channels in accordance to law: signal is detected, if at least in one of partial detection channels it is registered, non-coherent detection is used and decision is taken by process contour line at output of linear detector of contour line, that is why in the moment of supporting count τ0 value of noise contour line Un(τ0) is measured and value of contour line of correlation coefficient R0 of noise is calculated at output of synchronized filter between supporting and informational counts, while value of threshold П (τ0), which is set in controllable threshold device, is calculated using a certain formula.;EFFECT: increased trustworthiness of detection of impulse radio-signal with random starting phase on background of interfering radio impulse and white noise under conditions of unchanged energetic and frequency-temporal resources of communication channel.;2 cl
