FIELD: electrical engineering; connectors for cordless appliances such as kettle, iron, and the like.;SUBSTANCE: proposed connector designed to afford electrical connection between cordless electrical appliance case and base which is connected to power supply when in use has plug member and socket member; the latter has depressions to receive electric contacts; plug member has electric contacts inserted in mentioned depressions of plug member for making contact between plug and socket members upon turning through 360 deg. Socket member is provided with isolating switch or switches connected to electric contacts; they have movable operating mechanisms extending to annular slit of connector and spaced apart through gap. Plug member of connector has annular surface protruding to mentioned slit for coming in contact with operating mechanisms and sequentially closing mentioned switches upon joining connector plug and socket.;EFFECT: enhanced safety, simplified design.;26 cl, 13 dwg
