Compressed air is used to fold over sleeves (12,13) of garments, at the laying surface (10) of an automatic folding appts. Also claimed is an automatic folder, with blower tubes (36,37) along the longitudinal edges (23) of the laying surface (10), to deliver compressed air and the like.
