Process for the preparation of a water-in-diesel oil emulsion as fuel and its uses

The invention relates to a method for producing a water-in-diesel-oil emulsion as a fuel and to uses for said method. Emulsions of this type are used as fuel for improving combustible properties. Known production methods require high pressure and/or moveable parts. The aim of the invention is to provide a production method which does not require a device with a complex construction. This is achieved by splitting a stream of water into spatially separate water laminae with a width of 100 mu m and by feeding the water laminae into at least one stream of diesel-oil, whereby a fragmentation into water droplets takes place. This method is particularly advantageous when used directly in internal combustion engines, as it allows the composition of the emulsion to be rapidly modified.
