The connector has two plugs (1, 2) provided with two locking fingers and a latching device respectively. The locking fingers are lockable into the latching device. A tool i.e. screwdriver, is insertable between the locking fingers. The locking fingers are detachable from the latching device by rotating the tool. One of the plugs has a break-through for inserting the tool between the locking fingers, where the break-through is implemented as an opening in a housing of the plug. A detent lug is provided in each locking finger.
