Universal device (UDC) for access to and control of units (D1-D3) that have at least a receiving arrangement. The universal device can be used to download at least a control program to one of these units, while the user is able to use the functionalities or operations coded in the control program via the universal device. Typically the universal device can be a mobile phone. An independent claim is made for a controllable unit (D1-D3) with a non-volatile memory that can be controlled by a universal device.
