Device for measuring a manipulative attack on an electrical circuit (22) has a current monitoring arrangement (16) for monitoring the current consumption of the electrical circuit to obtain a monitoring result that describes the current consumption over a specified time perior. A comparator (18) compares this monitoring result with reference data that describe a specified characteristic current consumption of the electrical circuit to yied a comparison result, while an evaluation device determines if there has been a manipulative attack based on the comparison result. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is made for a method for detecting a manipulative attack.
