The device has a feeding unit (1) for feeding cables to a processing device and a storage container including wound up flexible cord. The supply unit has a guide arm (8) rotatable around a vertical or horizontal axis for unwinding the flexible cord against its winding direction and parallel to a winding axis. The guide arm is connected to guidance units which feeds the cord directly to a machining zone of the processing device.
