The woven airbag fabric, and especially for inflatable side airbags for vehicle occupant protection on an impact collision, is at least partially of yarn materials with a thickness of =560 dtex. Different and neighboring zones of the woven fabric have an increased and decreased yarn thickness and/or yarn mass in steps. The warps carry markings to show the yarn thickness for ease of installation.
